With extraordinary skill and creative ability, Swanson casts a web of crafted ingenuity. By hand, she knitsdeep, purple leather strands to form a circular compositionthat may gracefully fall from the ear. Within its lattice, sweetimpressions of gray, Japanese fiber purveys her intricate work. Atop, undulating discs of darkened silver are brushed by the majesty of lustrous gold leaf, which bears the crown of the piece.
